Welcome to the RecipeBridge Developer API

The RecipeBridge API provides access to RecipeBridge's recipe and ingredient database that contain over 1.8 million recipes from nearly 300 cooking websites. The RecipeBridge recipe data are accessed using a simple REST query API. The REST query API sits on a very fast search engine enabling efficient and immediate access to rich recipe and cooking data. This recipe data can be used to create mobile applications, touch-screen kitchen appliances, web applications, and portal sites.

About the RecipeBridge API

The RecipeBridge recipe search API gives you the ability to:

  • Search for recipes by recipe title and ingredients.
  • Get detailed information such as number of ingredients, list of ingredients, the recipe's source, source favicon, recipe url, and more.

Limits

We limit the number of requests so we can manage demand for the service to deliver the best performance. If you need a higher call limit, please contact us at API@recipebridge.com

  • Limit calls to 1,000 per day, per API key
  • Queries are limited to 2 Query Per Second (QPS)

Branding Requirements

While RecipeBridge provides the API for free, we require that you adhere to our branding requirements. Anywhere where you decide to display or use RecipeBridge data or search results, you must display a "Powered by RecipeBridge" logo. For graphics that you can use, please visit our Branding Requirements page(coming soon).
